My Productive Space

My Home Studio

I have a custom built 4’x6’x6′ recoding booth. It rests on a 3/4″ thick rubber mat that decouples it from the solid concrete floor. The walls, flooring, ceiling and door are all composed of 3/4″ thick OSB plywood, 4″ Rockwool premium sound insulation, a specialized sheet of 1/2″ thick sound absorption paneling. All are then cover in double layer heavy-duty moving blanket fabric. Next, I have 4″ Auralex sound absorption panels and bass traps throughout the entirety of the booth. I can get anywhere from -80dB to -69dB noise floor depending on the mic choice.
